A Little More About Me
_Over the years, I've been called a good writer for a photographer and a
good photographer for a writer. Somewhere along the line, I've added
design and website content management skills. So chances are if you need
it written or designed for print, broadcast, social media or the Web,
I'm your guy.

I've written for newspapers in Kansas, Missouri, Ohio and South Carolina. I've also been a photographer for newspapers in Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming, Ohio and South Carolina. And I have managed photography staffs through everything from the longest prison siege in United States history to the removal of the Confederate flag from the statehouse dome in Columbia, S.C.
Most recently, I've worked as a website editor for televisions stations in the Kansas City metro area, plus the Hearst Television station websites nationwide -- this includes KMBC in Kansas City. Much of my work has been done in conjunction with Internet Broadcasting, an industry leader in providing website support and content for television stations nationwide.
I've marketed products from travel tickets to Christmas trees using social media. And my blog is all about the plights of a two-time layoff victim who is scrambling to change his stripes to meet the shift in the work environment. That's a fancy way of saying I'm trying to shift my journalistic skills to fit the role of a modern multimedia content builder, whether it's news, PR, marketing or blogging.
When I'm not busy working or looking for the next great job opportunity, you can find me chasing after two teenage boys and a pair of beagles named after those two '60s icons -- Elvis and Fidel. I also manage time to keep tabs on my wife, Liz, who is a rockin' elementary school teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District.
